Lead Quality
Short definition
How reliable and complete a lead's data is, measured as a 0–100 Quality Score covering completeness, phone and email validity, and junk or duplicate detection.
01In practice
How teams actually use it.
Lead quality is the third leg of lead scoring, alongside Fit and Intent, and the one most teams skip. It asks a narrower question than 'is this a good lead?'. It asks 'can we trust this record?' A lead with a fake phone number, a disposable email, or three missing fields cannot be worked no matter how well it matches the ICP. In Leadkaun, Quality is scored 0–100 on completeness, phone and email validity, and duplicate/junk detection, and it acts as a cap: if Quality is too low the lead is graded down regardless of Fit and Intent, so bad data can never masquerade as a hot lead. Tracking quality by source is usually the fastest way to find which channel is quietly wasting rep hours.
02Worked examples
Three ways it shows up.
- 01
A lead with a valid 10-digit Indian mobile, a work email and a named company scores high on Quality.
- 02
A form fill with 'asdf' as the company name and a disposable email is capped at Grade F on Quality alone.

03Check it yourself
How to tell where you actually stand.
Quality complaints are common; quality measurements are not.
- 01Split last quarter's leads by source and compare how many reached a real conversation.
- 02Do the same for how many closed.
- 03A source that produces volume but no conversations is a cost, and it will not show up as one in a lead-count report.

Quality Score
A 0–100 score measuring how reliable a lead's data is. Valid phone (30) + email (15) + company (15) + inquiry clarity (20) + source reliability (10) minus junk penalties.
Junk Lead
A lead that can never convert because the record itself is invalid, fake contact details, a test submission, a bot fill, or a duplicate of an existing lead.
Lead Scoring
A system that ranks every lead by how likely they are to convert, typically across three dimensions: Fit (ICP match), Intent (engagement), Quality (data reliability).
Grade F
Junk leads. Quality Score below 20. Test strings, fake phones, or unusable data. Discard.
Source Truth Card
An Analytics Dashboard card ranking every lead source by ₹ won, not by lead count, so agencies that send junk get dethroned by ones that send Grade A.
