What is Intent Decay?
Short answer
Intent Decay is the automatic drop in a lead's Intent Score over time with no engagement, typically −3 points per day after crossing a threshold. Prevents stale leads from lingering at Grade A forever.
The long answer
Intent Decay is the mechanism that keeps the Priority Queue honest. Without decay, a hot lead from two weeks ago stays Grade A forever while newly-hot leads wait below. With decay, silence has consequences, a Grade A that went quiet for a week automatically drops to Grade B by grade matrix rules. Re-engagement spikes Intent back up. Decay floors at the source baseline, so leads don't drop below their starting state.
