How to Bring Google Sheets Leads into Leadkaun (CSV Import)

TL;DR

Export your Google Sheet to CSV (File → Download → CSV), then import it in Leadkaun: Settings → Leads → Import, map columns (name, phone, email, source), and every row is graded A–F on import. Native background sheet sync is on the roadmap; CSV import is the live path today.

01Why this matters

The bet behind the playbook.

Most Indian SMBs live in Google Sheets — ad agencies dump lead data there weekly, WhatsApp enquiries get logged there manually. Today Leadkaun ingests those leads via CSV import (which handles Google Sheet exports directly), so you can start scoring and queuing without migrating your workflow. Native scheduled sync is planned; until then a CSV export takes seconds.

02What you need first

Gather these before you start.

  • A Google Sheet with at least columns: name, phone
  • Access to download the sheet
  • A Leadkaun account (any tier, including Free)
03The steps

Run it in order.

  1. 01

    Prepare your sheet

Row 1 = headers. Required columns: name, phone. Recommended: email, source, date-added, initial-enquiry, company.

  2. 02

    Export the sheet to CSV

In Google Sheets: File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv). One tab exports at a time — export each tab you need.

  3. 03

    Open the importer

In Leadkaun → Settings → Leads → Import. Upload the CSV; Leadkaun auto-detects headers.

  4. 04

    Map columns

Drag each CSV column to its Leadkaun field. Leadkaun pre-fills obvious matches (name, phone, email) and parses Indian amounts (₹1,50,000 / 2.5L / 1Cr).

  5. 05

    Import and review

Confirm the mapping and import. Every row is graded A–F on Fit × Intent × Quality as it lands, and phone-number dedup catches repeats automatically.

  6. 06

    Re-import when the sheet updates

When new rows accumulate, export and import again — dedup means re-importing the whole sheet only adds the genuinely new leads. (Scheduled auto-sync is on the roadmap.)

04Mistakes to avoid

Where teams usually slip.

  • Exporting the wrong tab — a .csv download captures only the active sheet tab
  • Not including a unique identifier column (phone) — dedup relies on it
  • Trying to import >100k rows at once — split into smaller files instead
